
A travel expert has shared twelve top countries to visit for every month of the year – each offering sun, sea and summer vibes without the hefty price tag.
Rob Staines, who works for travel company On The Beach and has visited over 70 countries, regularly shares cheap holiday hacks and hotel reviews on his TikTok account, @robonthebeach.
In a recent video, which has amassed over 670K views, he listed the ideal destinations to visit for every month in 2026.
He announced: ‘I’ve built the the perfect twelve-month calendar based on weather and value. You can have a tan all-year round without spending a fortune.’
For UK holidaymakers looking to escape the doom and gloom of January, Rob recommends booking a trip to Tenerife, Spain, which boasts ’22C sunshine and prices that drop after New Year.’
In February, travellers can experience ‘warmth and fun’ for cheap in Marrakech, Morocco.
In the bustling capital, visitors can sip mint tea, enjoy rooftop dinners and explore vibrant souks, all while basking in average daily temperatures of 21C.
As March brings slighter warmer temperatures, Rob urges holidaymakers to visit Las Vegas on the United States, which boasts highs of 22C throughout the month and ‘plenty of things to do,’ according to the travel expert.

In April, holidaymakers are encouraged to pay a trip to Rome, Italy, which serves as a sweet spot before all the crowds pour in.
Rob jokingly added the Italian capital would be ‘warm enough for gelato and piazzas, and cool enough to actually be walk through them all day.’
As May marks the beginning of summer, Rob recommends travelling to a destination that is already in ‘full-swing.’
According to the travel expert, travellers ‘can’t really go wrong’ with Tukey’s Antalya thanks to its 27C weather, abundance of all-inclusive resorts and prices that are ‘half of what they’ll be in July.’
As the season picks up in June, Rob advises holidaymakers to visit Rhodes, Greece, which boasts ‘hot but not unbearable’ temperatures, crystal-blue waters, ‘great prices’ and ‘lovely beaches before the peak season starts.’
In July, travellers are urged to flock the Algarve, Portugal, which the travel expert described as family-friendly, easy to travel to, has plenty of flight availability and is often cheaper than Spain during the month.
For Rob, August is the perfect month to visit Croatia, which offers a vast choice of beach clubs, island hopping excursions and ‘perfect’ turquoise waters during the peak season.
He added: ‘There’s not many places more beautiful in the world than Croatia in August. Yeah it’s a bit busy – but it’s worth it. It’s like Ibiza, but half the price and double the charm – in my opinion, anyway.’

The travel expert recommends Spain’s hottest city, Seville, for September, as the crowds tend to thin out yet the heat remains – and, according to Rob, it offers some of the ‘best tapas in Europe.’
October brings 28C and ‘glorious’ sunshine in Cyprus, which Rob nominates for those looking for ‘one last swim’ before winter sets in.

Finally, holidaymakers can end the year ‘in style in Dubai, which boasts 28C, a range of beach clubs and surprisingly affordable prices throughout December.
