It’s a great spot overall for those seeking warmer temperatures in months like March when the weather hasn’t quite turned yet in the UK.
One lesser known location, Castelló de la Plana, can be found in Spain’s Valencia region.

Dubbed the ‘new Barcelona’ by the Mirror, getting to Castelló de la Plana doesn’t break the bank either.

After wandering around Castelló de la Plana’s beautiful streets and taking in views of historic churches and the sea, a meal out would be a much-needed treat.

Both stand in the Plaça Major – the city’s main square that is surrounded by sandstone buildings and overlooks a water fountain.
Castelló de la Plana has several sandy beaches to enjoy too, and the weather in March might be warm enough to properly spend some time by the water as Spain sees highs of around 18°C during this time.
