Forget Center Parcs! Inside the only UK holiday park to earn Mumsnet Rated status – with 100% of families rating it five stars

When booking a holiday park, families often look for somewhere that will provide a break packed with outdoor adventure and happy memories.

One resort has become the only one in the UK to achieve Mumsnet Rated status – an accreditation which is earned after being given five stars by all of a sample of Mumsnet users.

Lovat Parks has recently become the very first holiday park company in the UK to achieve the respected accreditation.

The holiday park operator has sites across the UK including in Cornwall, Norfolk and the New Forest.

It managed to bag 100 per cent in the reviews – with every single family involved in the independent testing programme giving the experience a five-star rating.

All of the reviewers even said they would recommend Lovat Parks to a friend or family member.

The Mumsnet accreditation follows a consumer testing programme which saw independent Mumsnet families staying at Lovat Parks’ Padstow Holiday Village during February half term this year.

The results were unanimous across every measure – 100 per cent rated their stay as ‘very satisfied’, 100 per cent said they would definitely recommend Lovat Parks and 100 per cent were very satisfied with the location.

A boutique chain with a strong focus on sustainability, Lovat Parks — which has sites in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cornwall and the New Forest — has refined the concept without inflating prices.

Luxury caravans and glamping with hot tubs are the big draws. Electric vehicle charging points have been introduced across all of its parks.

The parks offer a range of options for campers to choose from, including luxury lodges, static caravans, grass camping pitches and safari tents. Pets are welcome on some bookings too.

For a romantic getaway, there are even shepherd huts that can be booked for two.

Entertainment is positively wholesome — for example, at the dog-friendly Green Hill Farm Holiday Village in the New Forest you can fish, toast marshmallows on campfires, and even go on ranger-led adventures

Raoul Fraser, CEO and founder of Lovat Parks, explained how the company was seeing more people opt for breaks that allow them to connect with the outdoors.

He said: ‘We’re seeing a real shift in the way British families choose to holiday, more frequently, closer to home and with a genuine desire to slow down and reconnect with nature.

‘The Mumsnet accreditation reflects not just the quality of what we offer, but a broader moment for UK tourism.

‘Families don’t need to get on a plane to have an extraordinary holiday and the data we’re seeing tells us more and more of them know it.’

Raoul founded the holiday park company in 2018 and it has gone on to win multiple awards over the years including Visit England Five Star Holiday Park 2023 and British Travel Awards 2024: Silver.
