The UK already has Chipotle, Taco Bell and Chick-fil-A, but another American chain is set to join the food scene.
Loved in the States for its iconic cheesy pizza, chicken wings and fries served alongside arcade games, soft play areas and animatronic characters including the giant mouse mascot – Chuck E Cheese is now finally coming to the UK.
Set to open later this year, the branch will be the first in Europe too.
It’s not yet known where exactly the restaurant will open, but some reports suggest it could be in Manchester, London or Milton Keynes, according to Time Out.
Chuck E Cheese has been a popular destination for birthday parties in the USA and it hopes to bring the same fun to Brits too with its ‘Where A Kid Can Be A Kid’ motto.
COO Mario Centola described how ‘thrilled’ they were to be launching in the UK.
He said: ‘Chuck E. Cheese is an incredible global brand that brings families together across cultures through the universal language of fun.
‘We’re thrilled to bring our unique magic for family fun to the UK. We have partnered with an outstanding team that shares our passion for delivering unforgettable family experiences.’

Meanwhile managing director Alistair Burnett explained how he has always been passionate about ‘creating family fun’ and sees this move as a chance to do so in a British market.
‘Bringing Chuck E. Cheese to the UK is not just a business move,’ said Burnett. ‘Creating family fun has been a passion of mine and, ultimately, my professional career.’
He added: ‘We will be reimagining family entertainment in this market, and Chuck E. Cheese is the perfect brand to lead that transformation.
‘Our focus is on delivering a destination where kids can be kids, parents can relax, and unforgettable memories are made every day.’
There are nearly 600 Chuck E Cheese venues across 45 US states and 17 other countries.
The company expanded to Australia back in 2024 when it partnered with Royale Hospitality Group, the Aussie company that runs Milky Lane, Planet Royale and Outback Jacks.

Chuck E Cheese was founded in 1977 by Nolan Bushnell and has been operating in the US for nearly 50 years.
At the time, it was seen as a ‘ground-breaking and innovative’ concept that combined food with arcade games and entertainment.
It was originally called Chuck E Cheese Pizza Time Theatre but changed to Chuck E Cheese down the line.
The restaurant chain first expanded outside of the States in 1986 when it launched a site in Guatemala City.
