The White Lotus season four filming location confirmed as luxury £1,178-a-night Paris hotel alongside the Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez

Whenever a new season of The White Lotus is announced, the luxurious destination in which it is set becomes the new ‘It’ spot.

For the show’s fourth series, things will be no different – and one of the filming locations for the upcoming season is set to be none other than glamorous Paris.

Mandarin Oriental Lutetia has confirmed that it is among the Parisian filming locations selected for this major international production.

It follows HBO’s announcement confirming that the fourth season of the acclaimed hit production The White Lotus will be filmed in France.

The Mandarin Oriental Lutetia is a vibrant hub and has been a legendary institution since 1910.

It boasts 184 rooms, including 49 suites, offering the very best of Paris to both Parisians and visitors from around the world.

At the Paris hotel, room rates start from €1,360 (£1,178) a night for doubles – and go all the way up to €13,250 (£11,480) per night for the two-bedroom presidential suite.

The Mandarin Oriental Lutetia is home to several restaurants and bars.

The hotel has everything one would imagine necessary for the show – classy interiors, luxurious trimmings and spacious hotel rooms with a view

Bar Joséphine is the perfect place for an elevated beverage inside the hotel

La Brasserie Lutetia, the Salon Saint-Germain, the Bar Joséphine and the Bar Aristide are vibrant venues dedicated to sharing and conviviality.

It also has high-end wellness options, such as a spa offering facials, massages, a salon and a luxurious swimming pool.

The upcoming series of the Sky Atlantic show will also be set against the stunning backdrop of Chateau de La Messardiere in Saint Tropez.

The French Riviera destination is a five-star luxury hotel where rooms can set you back up to £10,000 a night for a peak-time private villa.

The chateau, set in 32 acres of parasol pines, cypress trees and jasmine, boasts a Rolls-Royce to take you to the beach, a children’s camp with its own railway and stunning views over the Mediterranean.

A source previously told the Mail on Sunday that show creator Mike White ‘wanted somewhere evocative and sexy’ and that the hotel ‘ticked all the boxes’.

She said: ‘They had production scouts looking at destinations all over the world but Mike decided on France. The chateau is the perfect, serene backdrop to mayhem and murder. They will also be shooting in Paris and Nice.’

As well as the French Riviera hotspot, the Mandarin Oriental in Paris will bring a high-end ambience to the new series of White Lotus.

The real-life Airelles Chateau de la Messardiere in Saint-Tropez will be a filming location for the fictional White Lotus du Cap

The new season, which will again start with a murder and involve a cast of rich people behaving badly over a week’s holiday, began filming in April and will air later this year.

Previous settings have seen massive boosts in tourism. The Four Seasons Maui in Hawaii, the backdrop for season one, saw a 500 per cent rise in visitors.

The second season was filmed at the San Domenico Palace hotel in Sicily and the third at the Four Seasons in Koh Samui, Thailand.

The source said that the first three seasons were set at Four Seasons resorts, but the show’s agreement with the chain had ended.

The chateau hosting the new season is owned by Stephane Courbit’s Airelles Collection.

As always, a star-studded cast has been announced for the upcoming series of White Lotus.

Ben Kingsley, 82, Max Minghella, 40, and Pekka Strang, 48, were the most recent to be announced.

Other cast members include Laura Dern, Heather Graham, Monica Bellucci’s ex-husband Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Dylan Ennis, Caleb Jonte Edwards and Kumail Nanjiani.

The announcement came after it was revealed that Helena Bonham Carter, 59, left the shoot of season four, just days after production began in the South of France

The announcement came after it was revealed that Helena Bonham Carter, 59, had left the shoot of season four, just days after production began in the South of France.

HBO released a statement announcing Carter’s departure from the show due to creative concerns about her role.

‘With filming just underway on season four of The White Lotus, it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set,’ the network revealed to TMZ.

‘The role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten and will be recast in the coming weeks,’ continued the premium cable broadcaster.

In their statement, the network said: ‘HBO, the producers and Mike White are saddened that they won’t get to work with her, but remain ardent fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon.’
