One cabin crew’s announcement about how passengers should board the plane has sparked a debate.
A holidaymaker, @thelamarind_travel, shared a video on Instagram from inside the cabin of his Ryanair flight.
He was travelling from London Stansted to Sofia, Bulgaria, and had sat down on the plane when a flight attendant began to make an announcement.
‘Ryanair FR1730 taking you to Sofia, please continue to move through the cabin as quickly as possible and take your allocated seats,’ he said over the speaker.
The cabin crew seemed to be concerned that they had limited time to get everyone on board before the plane might end up held for some time.
‘We need to close the main aircraft door in five minutes otherwise we can be delayed for a time which we do not know the duration of,’ the flight attendant continued.
‘Please hurry up and take your allocated seats as quickly as possible.’
Passengers continued to file onto the plane and gradually take their seats as the announcement played over them.

‘We have less than three minutes to close the aircraft door otherwise we can be delayed for a time which we do not know the duration of,’ the cabin crew blared out.
Later on, a two minute warning was read and continued to push the passengers to sit down.
‘Two minutes, please hurry up and take your allocated seats, once you find your seat please step on aside and allow the passengers behind you to do the same,’ he said.
‘We have less than two minutes please hurry up and take your allocated seats, once you do that please step aside.’
The one-minute warning ended with, ‘Please take your seat as quickly as possible and lets hope for the best, thank you.’
The holidaymaker revealed in the video caption that he had ‘never heard announcements like these on a plane before’.
‘It felt like I was at the theatre and we were getting the 3 – 5 warning bells,’ he penned.
The tourist shared that no one on board ‘was listening to the steward’ and the announcement ‘didn’t really impact or help the boarding pace’.

Many Instagram users agreed with the cabin crew’s announcement and took to the comments to share their thoughts.
One penned: ‘Honestly from a passenger point of view I would prefer to be told to hurry up than get stuck there for another 2h, especially if you have to make it to your connecting flight so this announcement makes a lot of sense.’
Another said: ‘The amount of time grown adults take getting onto a plane and sitting down is staggering.’
Someone else added: ‘Totally right. Walk until your seat and sit down. It should take no more than a couple of minutes.’
