A huge theme park is set to open this year and it will feature the world’s fastest rollercoaster.
Located in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh, Six Flags Qiddiya City is ‘expected to open’ in late 2025.
Previously, it was reported that the park would open in spring 2026, but this has now been brought forward, Attractions Magazine tells.
The impressive attraction was first announced back in 2019 and when ready, will boast the Falcon’s Flight, which is set to be the world’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster.
It will be able to reach speeds of up to 155mph and will stand 639 feet tall.
Three other rides in the park are also expected to break records, including the Iron Rattler, which will be the tallest tilt rollercoaster in the world. The attraction will stand at 208 feet tall.
Meanwhile, the Sirocco Tower is set to become the tallest free-standing shot ride and have a maximum height of 475 feet.
At 173 feet high, the Gyrospin will be the tallest pendulum ride.

Overall, the park will feature 28 rides and attractions and will be located next to Aquarabia Water Theme Park which is also set to open later this year.
The water park will boast 22 ‘state-of-the-art’ rides and attractions and will break records, too.
It is set to be home to the world’s tallest water coaster as well as the world’s tallest double-loop water slide.
The theme park will be split into six different sections – Valley of Fortune, Steam Town, Twilight Gardens, City of Thrills, Grand Exposition, and Discovery Springs.
Guests visiting Discovery Springs will be able to experience the interactive Into The Deep, which transports riders into sea caves.
Meanwhile, the Sea Stallion will take riders behind waterfalls and over rivers, and is set to be the fastest and tallest rider-controlled attraction globally.
Six Flags will also feature a unique racetrack – Speed Park – that sits on two floors.
The park reportedly plans to eventually host F1 on the track – but it won’t be open until 2027.

According to Attractions Magazine, Six Flags’ executive chairman Selim Bassoul is set to step down at the end of the year and serve as a ‘consultant’.
He said: ‘Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue supporting the Company through the completion of Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia — a landmark project that will showcase the next generation of entertainment experiences and global innovation.
‘It represents not only a bold step for Six Flags, but also a vision of what the future of theme parks can be. I look forward to helping bring that vision to life and watching this remarkable company continue to inspire millions of guests worldwide.’
