Nail-biting glass cafe opens at the top of the world’s tallest bridge – would YOU go?

A glass cafe has recently opened and is located at the top of the world’s tallest bridge.

Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, in China, first opened on September 28 after being under construction for four years.

Situated at the very top of the bridge, the cafe is perfect for thrill seekers.

Diners can enjoy a meal while sitting 800 metres above the deep, green valley underneath.

The roadway is 625 metres high, and it is classed as the world’s tallest bridge available to access by the public.

Visitors can enjoy amazing views of the surrounding landscape from the cafe while tucking into a meal.

The cafe is joined to a glass elevator and skywalk, offering diners a tantalising experience.

Guests can even jump from the top of the bridge from a bungee platform.

The daring activity will see them plunge down into the valley below and bounce back.

Mr Fu works on the bridge and told The Guardian: ‘The view from the bridge is fantastic.

‘Beneath the bridge flows the Beipan River, with Huajiang Village nearby and a waterfall as well.

‘It is very exciting – the bridge is very high, and many visitors come. Standing on it yourself feels thrilling as well.’

The bungee attraction means local business has been booming since its opening on September 28.

One guesthouse owner, Lin Guoquan, reportedly shared on social media that his guesthouse was fully booked since the opening.

However, visitors to the bridge are apparently restricted to 5,000 each day.

There are even reportedly plans to expand the offerings on the bridge, including professional base jumping.

For those wanting to bungee from a bridge closer to home, the Bungee Jump Killiecrankie gives thrill seekers the opportunity to free-fall 40 metres (131ft) over the River Garry.

Located in Highland Perthshire, Scotland, the experience is offered by Highland Fling Bungee and is priced at £89.

Those brave enough to face their fears and take the leap will fly over 50mph off a jump platform and enjoy a few seconds of exhilarating joy before they are pulled back to safety by a cord.

It’s described as a ‘safe and unforgettable adrenalin packed experience’ and is run by qualified ‘Bungee Jump Masters’.
