As deputy travel editor of the Daily Mail, I’m constantly jet-setting around the globe.
In 2025 alone, I holidayed in Salzburg, Austria, and Pula, Croatia, celebrated my husband’s birthday in Ibiza, had a hen do in Amsterdam, honeymooned in Rome and Amalfi, had a solo trip to sunny Malaga, Spain, spent my birthday in Malaysia, and headed to Paris to get a sneak peek at Disneyland’s new park, opening in April 2026.
I also went to Switzerland twice – once to Basel for Eurovision and to Zurich for the UEFA Women’s EUROs.
And I already have two trips booked for 2026 – Rovaniemi, Finland, to see the Northern Lights in January, and a second honeymoon in the Caribbean.
This globetrotting lifestyle has meant I’ve had no choice but to streamline my suitcase and get my essential packing list down to a tee.
And many of my favourite travel accessories are available in the January sales.
From one of the Daily Mail Travel team’s favourite cabin suitcases now 40 per cent off, to the travel pillow I never fly without discounted by almost 30 per cent, there’s plenty on offer.
Here are some of the best bargains to be had in the sales. Get them now before it’s too late…

Earplugs are a must to get some sleep on the plane – and Loop Experience 2 are perfect for wearing constantly, as users can turn the volume up or down to what they want, and these look good too.
It means I can use them to nap on the flight, and also to wear in the clubs in Ibiza to stop myself getting tinnitus.
They’re available in a range of colours.

This travel bottle set has been an absolute gamechanger for me when it comes to travelling with hand luggage only.
The TSA-approved clear case comes with 16 containers, ranging in size, that you can decant all your lotions and potions in to using the included funnel.
It even comes with a brush for cleaning, as well as waterproof sticker labels so you don’t mix up your shampoo with your moisturiser!

It also comes with a clear, removable pouch which can be used for airport security or storing makeup.

The Daily Mail’s Travel team named this our best budget large suitcase earlier this year.
The American Tourister case is great value for money. It’s functional, simple and spacious, making it easy to pack.
It’s also really light, at just 3.2kg, so would be easier to lift, and won’t take up too much of your weight allowance.
It comes in a range of colours, but Dusk Purple and Sunset Coral are currently on sale.

There’s a reason the Daily Mail’s Travel team named the Antler our best cabin suitcase for seasoned travellers.
Lightweight, water-resistant, and pretty much silent to wheel along, this cabin suitcase is a classy, sleek travel companion.
Weighing just 2.6 kg, it’s impressively easy to wheel around and carry.
The shell means it doesn’t scratch easily, too – plus Antler offers a lifetime warranty.

The Daily Mail Travel team named this our best travel pillow for side sleepers – and Travelrest’s Ultimate Inflatable Pillow is my personal favourite.
You simply blow the pillow up with a few short puffs and then sling the detachable strap around your body like a messenger bag.
Nestled against, rather than around my neck, it’s far less constricting than most pillows.
And, being inflatable, it’s very easy to pack away and store in my hand luggage.
Was £37.95.

Made from premium memory foam and soft, breathable material, it offers superior comfort and light-blocking ability.
