As the colder nights roll in and daylight begins to fade, many of us dream of swapping the nine-to-five for a sun lounger and cold beer (or cocktail) on the beach.
And while November in the UK means wrapping up warm for bonfires and cosy nights at home, in Southeast Asia, the travel season is just getting started.
Transport booking platform Omio has analysed 50 beaches across ten countries in Southeast Asia based on hotel and flight prices, on-beach food and drink costs, crowd levels and beach and water quality.
Among the top value destinations are beaches that offer fresh coconuts for less than £1, beers at roughly £2 and hotels averaging about £57 per night.

With Bangkok as a major hub, return flights to Thailand are around £562 on average, keeping Thailand among the cheaper long-haul choices this season.
Pantai Tusan Bekenu, Borneo, Malaysia

Pantai Tusan Bekenu, also known as Tusan Beach, in Sarawak, Malaysia, is famous for its unique ‘horse rock’ formation, which is a natural rock arch that resembles a horse head.
It is located near Miri, in the district of Bekenu, and is a popular spot for locals and tourists to visit, especially for its picturesque scenery.
The water quality at the beach is rated ‘pristine’ and you can grab a beer for just £1.30.

Iboih Beach is a popular spot for snorkelling with easy access to marine life.
It has an Omio crowd level ranking of ‘busy’ and is known as a hub of the local nightlife. Here, you can bag a beer for £1.60 and a coconut for just 80p.
Nongsa Beach, Batam, Indonesia

Nongsa Beach, located in the northeast of Batam Island, is a popular destination known for its clean white sand and clear blue sea.
This makes it an ideal spot for swimming, sunbathing and water sports.
One of the key attractions is the panoramic views of the Singapore skyline across the water at night.
The beach is easily accessible, located just minutes from Hang Nadim Airport.
Tanjung Tinggi Beach, Belitung, Indonesia

Skip the usual ‘go to’ beaches of Bali and instead head to the Indonesian island of Belitung.

With £24 hotels, £1.50 beers and ‘chilled’ crowd levels, it’s a popular destination for swimming, sunbathing and water activities like surfing.
For adventure lovers, Hannah’s Beach Resort in Blue Lagoon is home to the longest zipline over water in the world, spanning approximately 1.2 to 1.47 kilometres.
