Since the Covid-19 pandemic, demand for remote work has soared, with people seeking a better work-life balance – and, in some cases, the chance to live in sunnier cities.
Indeed, the number of digital nomads – remote workers who use technology and the internet to work from anywhere in the world – has risen greatly.
A new report by Public First estimates that around 165,000 UK nationals are now classified as digital nomads, living overseas for about seven months per year.
While this was once a dream reserved for mainly freelancers and entrepreneurs, nowadays it is becoming much more of a reality.
Thanks to a growing number of employers offering ‘Work From Anywhere’ (WFA) schemes, employees at certain companies can work remotely from anywhere in the world for a set number of days each year.
