With summer only a matter of months away, a travel blogger has urged holidaymakers to snap up a ‘fantastic’ cabin bag that beats all airline restrictions – and it costs little over a fiver.
Chelsea, from the UK, regularly reviews luggage, accessories and handy gadgets for flights, as well as issuing packing and hotel tips to her 6.7K following on Instagram.
In a recent video posted to her page, @holidayexpertshop, the content creator was left pleasantly surprised whilst reviewing an unassuming cabin bag from Decathlon.
The KIPSTA Essential Gym Bag, available in blue, costs only £5.99, and its dimensions of 40x20x25cm is ideal for travel on most major airlines.
A description on Decathlon’s website reads: ‘A great choice for a compact gym bag or lightweight cabin bag.
‘And you won’t have to worry about storage space as we’ve designed this carry-on bag to fold up into its own side pocket for easy storage.’
In the clip, Chelsea said: ‘I think everyone’s cottoned on but it’s a fantastic travel cabin bag as well because the capacity is 20 litres, which is the same as that rival Ryanair small cabin bag.’
The travel blogger went on to demonstrate how she utilises the space of the bag, comfortably packing in two vacuum-sealed bags of clothing, a bag of socks and a make-up bag.

Once concealed, she then made use of the side pocket, adding a bag of underwear and bikinis.
Chelsea described the material of the bag as ‘not brilliant,’ as well as pointing out that its handles ‘were not reinforced’.
However, she noted that it has a longer cross-body strap in order to efficiently carry it around, along with a two-year warranty.
The bag received mostly praise from fans, with many describing it as the ‘perfect’ cabin luggage, but others claimed they felt discomfort whilst carrying it.
One person wrote, ‘For the price, this one is SUCH A WINNER,’ while another said, ‘It’s great, never had a problem with it traveling both Wizzair and Ryanair.’
A third added: ‘Loveeee love love this bag! First time I took Ryanair, I was so paranoid about the bag situation so I bought this one after extensive research! Fits perfectly under the seat!’
Another wrote: ‘This is fantastic! I didn’t know about this bag. And it also packs like a small cube.
‘Also, would love to see a video where you show (more or less) what are you packing. There seemed to be around a week’s worth of clothes there, I’m curious on how much it fits.’

However, another viewer described their experience of using the bag as ‘uncomfortable’, writing: ‘It’s perfect size-wise but EXTREMELY uncomfortable to carry around once it is full.’
Responding to the comment, one person advised: ‘Put some padding with velcro around the shoulder strap or take it from an old duffel. Immediately becomes so much more comfortable.’
It comes as a passenger revealed a clever hack to pack for a 10-day trip – without any luggage.
Taking to TikTok, a woman based in Italy, showcased just how many items she was able to fit more that a week’s worth of clothes into her jacket.
In the clip, she claimed ‘Ryanair hate this jacket’ as she managed to pack all her items for the trip in the trench coats lined pockets.
