
Travel enthusiasts can still book a holiday and catch some last-minute rays to escape the cool UK weather.
New research has revealed the best European beach destinations to head to for sunshine.
The analysis looked at the most Instagrammable locations by studying six different hashtag templates for each location.
Barcelona, in Spain, proved to be the best and was the most photographed destination in Europe with a whopping 77,112,126 Instagram posts in total.
Another Spanish spot, Valencia, followed in second place with 32,558,358 posts.
It’s the country’s third-largest city and boasts a combination of urban sophistication with beautiful beaches.
Known for its vibrant nightlife, Ibiza is also a great spot for sandy white beaches, too, and came third in the study by Ferryhopper.
The lively destination has 20,967,809 Instagram posts showing off what it has to offer.

Mallorca placed fourth, with 16,078,715 total uploads on the social media site, another Spanish island luring visitors in with its stunning shores.
Portugal has also made a good impression on tourists and placed fifth with Porto, a coastal city located in the northwest of the country.
The sunny spot has a huge 14,724,135 posts.
Lisbon closely followed with 13,922,533 uploads, making a mark with its nearby beaches like Carcavelos and Costa da Caparica.
Santorini, Greece, secured seventh place with 9,577,225 posts, and another Greek destination, Mykonos, placed eighth with 6,544,746 uploads.
Amalfi Coast, Italy, boasts 50km of coastline with cliffs and small beaches scattered across it.
The popular location came ninth and has 4,464,326 Instagram posts about it.
Another Italian spot, Positano, has been pictured 3,258,123 times.

With October half-term quickly approaching, there are still plenty of bargain breaks to snap up and get away from the dreary UK.
From the characterful streets of Krakow to sunny skies in Turkey, Brits can find affordable and fun trips as the weather begins to turn.
Many seem to want to get away, too, as searches for flights are up 11 per cent compared to last year, according to Kayak.
On average, a trip abroad during half-term costs £801 per person, but there are bargains to be found. Certain destinations are better value than others, and Krakow, Poland, tops them all.
