Families with children – or adults looking for a taste of nostalgia – listen up: the world’s first Hey Duggee-themed hotel rooms are set to open in the UK.
The Alton Towers resort will house the new rooms and suites at CBeebies Land Hotel.
Much-loved characters Duggee and the Squirrels, from the BBC series, will have rooms dedicated to them, perfect for little fans of the animated show and their families.
From this month, you’ll be able to join Duggee and the Squirrels for an overnight stay of gentle fun, play and adventure.
With one standard room and one suite, you can choose what works best for you – from Saturday, March 14.
Inside, kids will get to find characters hidden in corners and feel like they are in Duggee’s Clubhouse
The room can sleep up to five people, and has a separate children’s sleeping area themed around Hey Duggee and the Squirrels as well as a TVs in the adults’ and children’s areas of the room.
Meanwhile, the suite can accommodate seven and is divided into two main areas.
It also has toddler and baby-friendly facilities.
Each room features a double bed with a bespoke designed headboard, themed TV and furniture, plus a dedicated children’s area complete with bunk beds.
The room will be decorated with faces from the children’s TV show, including Betty, Happy, Norrie, Tag and Roly.
There will also be a sensory game, inspired by the TV show.
The themed rooms join the range of Hey Duggee-themed activities at the park.
At CBeebies land, you can climb, slide and bounce your way through interactive sensory play areas – and also enjoy activities such as Hey Duggee Live.
The room will be based on popular children’s TV show Hey Duggee
The Alton Towers website describes what’s on offer: ‘At Hey Duggee Live, help your favourite characters Duggee, Roly, Betty and Happy to find out who the mystery DJ in Big Fun Showtime is. Use your Map reading skills to piece together clues – you could even earn your Map Badge!’
Alton Towers Resort vice president Howard Ebison said: ‘What better way for fans to relax and continue the adventures after a fun-filled day at CBeebies Land than with a stay in our world-first Hey Duggee-themed rooms.
‘We have an exciting year ahead in 2026 at Alton Towers Resort for families and this themed addition to CBeebies Land Hotel is the latest example of our commitment to unforgettable memories and immersive experiences for families.’
Natasha Spence, from BBC Studios, said: ‘These world-first Hey Duggee-themed hotel rooms bring the Duggee Clubhouse to life in a truly immersive way.
‘It’s a wonderful extension of the show that allows fans and families to continue the fun, imagination and adventure beyond the screen and we’re delighted to be working with Alton Towers Resort again to create something so special.’
The park has numerous other themed rides and rooms, such as Bluey, Bing, In the Night Garden, Octonauts and Something Special.
And Alton Towers is also opening the world’s first rollercoaster themed around Australia’s famous cartoon dog, Bluey, on March 28.
Howard said the ride will be ‘all about celebrating energy, play and those everyday moments families love about the show’.
