You might have seen plenty of tips and tricks to get a fancy flight upgrade.
But have you ever heard of the ‘hidden business class’ on some planes that you can get for the price of a premium economy seat?
One traveller has revealed the planes where you can get more for your money – but it’s only available on select models.
Leftyshanker, a Reddit user, shared their experience on the platform, explaining the ‘hidden biz class’ they found.
They wrote: ‘We booked Level Airlines from BCN to JFK via Iberia, never flown either before, but when we boarded I realised that their “premium economy” which is typically just wider seats, on that specific plane, was a true lay flat business class seating arrangement.
‘I swiftly asked the flight attendant if there were any open and she said she would see.
‘Lo and behold, there were two, and for €175 (£152) a piece we flew home in comfort.’
Level Airlines was founded in 2017 as the low-cost, long-haul arm of Iberia.

They run flights across Europe to more than 100 destinations.
Most of Level’s A330 planes have recliner seats, similar to other airlines.
But the airline also flies two A330-200s that previously operated for Virgin Australia – and these are fitted with the Collins Aerospace Super Diamond seats in a 1-2-1 layout.
‘The lie-flat option can be a spectacular value, with near-business class comfort at a premium economy price. Assuming you can find it,’ PaxEx.Aero reports.
It adds that Level does not advertise the lie-flat beds any differently – just as a premium economy seat.
But if you find it, you could be in for a treat.
Viewers responded to the potential upgrade option in the Reddit comments.
Some questioned if it was really possible while others added their own suggestions.

Another added: ‘Wait, you got upgraded on the plane?? I get laughed at in my face when I ask when I step on if there’s any upgrades available still.’
There are a whole host of other ways to bag an upgrade on a flight.
From dressing the part to asking politely and even offering to take a later flight, there are lots of ways you can get yourself a fancier seat.
