10 TIPS FOR TRAVEL NURSING (KNOW YOUR WORTH)

10 TIPS FOR TRAVEL NURSING- KNOW YOUR WORTH.
Email me at CardiacStrong@gmail.com to get your travel
assignment aka “Vacation” and make that great pay.

1st TIP: RIDICULOUS CRISIS PAY: 4K, 6K, 8K, 10K WEEKLY.
Why is this field offering this type of pay? Well there’s a rapid influx of active COVID patients, so this may lead to many facilities and hospitals being understaff and other various reasons like Maternity leave, Emergency leave, Vacation leave and Sick leave to name a few. Well, in other words “You Know Your Worth” because you’re getting paid for the high demand.

2ND TIP: RECRUITER IS YOUR BEST FRIEND: (PARTNER IN CRIME)
You have to remember that these recruiters work for you so feel comfortable to ask any questions since their job is to help you. Keeping the relationship honest and transparent by asking “What’s the bill rate?” In other words, how much is the recruiter making weekly
off your profit. Thats a legit question, also ask to have them pay stipends and have them look for a place to vacate and lastly ask for an extension ahead of time.

3RD TIP: YOU’LL GET REIMBURSED: (ITS A NO, IF YOU DONT ASK)
They’ll pay for your parking passes, scrubs, shoes, also parking tickets and lastly you can get reimbursed for a new nursing license in another state. For example, I was reimbursed my $500.00 process fee for my new state license.

4TH TIP: STAND YOUR GROUND: (DONT GET PUSHED AROUND)
For example, when you’re floated to a new unit or your new assignment is out compliance regarding nurse to patient ratios that can lead to decreased patient safety. Also puts your nursing license in jeopardy, so stand your ground.

5TH TIP: FREE TRAVEL: (PICK YOUR VACATION SPOT)
Before you decide your destination as your new vacation spot, make sure you do your homework and research about your new location so you can reap the benefits on your days off from work enjoying your free traveling vacation on the house.

6TH TIP: THIS IS NOT PERMANENT: (YOU’RE NOT MARRIED)
You have the ability to leave as soon as the assignment is completed, so in other words you don’t have to deal with floor politics, scheduling, management and no meetings and most importantly no modules during your assignment.

7TH TIP: BUILDING YOUR RESUME: (WELL ROUNDED NURSE)
As you’re working closely with your seasoned nursing colleagues on your new travel assignment, you will pick up so many different tips, tricks and skills making you more competent and Independent hence building up your resume.

8TH TIP: COMPLETE ALL CERTIFICATIONS: (BETTER CANDIDATE)
Make sure to have all of your credentials and most importantly your certifications up to par. In other words have all of your certifications like your ACLS, BALS, PALS & even possibly your NIH
Stroke Certification if you work in the Neuro ICU.

9TH TIP: PACK LIGHTLY: (NECESSITIES AND ESSENTIALS)
You don’t need to bring your whole house with you to your new destination unless you are living in an RV, jk lol, but only bring your essentials and your necessities that you utilized on a day to day basis and stay away from those “Just in case items.”

10 TIP: TAKE A LEAP OF FAITH: (TRUST IN HIM 100%)
“Have I not commanded you to be strong and of good courage? Do not be
afraid nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you
go.” -Joshua 1:9
