If you compact things in a suitcase and use its space efficiently, you can save up to 40-50% of the space. Before you start packing, you need to lay out the future luggage on the sofa or bed, and sort out, removing all unnecessary things.
Forget neat rectangular stacks of T-shirts and sweaters. Twist all clothes into tight rollers. So, it takes up minimal space and will not become crumpled. You can use special vacuum bags for transporting clothes. This reduces the volume of stuff and prevents their damage.
Insure yourself against baggage loss – this happens quite often when traveling. In order not to be left completely without anything, take the most necessary things in your hand luggage.
