From vacuum bags to packing cubes, there are plenty of crafty ways to pack and organise your case.
But one holidaymaker found a slightly different method that proved to be just as useful as the more popular ones.
In a post on Reddit, they revealed how they had given up with packing cubes.
Instead, they use soft dry bags to help compress and organise their clothes in their suitcase.
They explained: ‘I recently ditched packing cubes (before that vacc or air compression plastic bags) and opted for soft dry bags (like the ones used for kayaking).
‘They come in different sizes and colours, and you can compress as much or little air out as you like.
‘Plus they’re waterproof!’
One impressed holidaymaker added: ‘We can also use them to do laundry in.’

Plenty more packing hacks have made the rounds recently, including one from experts at Pure Digital PR.
One tip is to pack clothes that have multiple uses and match with a range of different options, The Express reports.
‘A versatile black jumper can be dressed up for dinner or worn casually during the day, while a quality jacket that’s both waterproof and warm eliminates the need for multiple coats,’ the expert said.
What’s more, neutral colours tend to work for a variety of outfits.
She added: ‘Choosing a neutral colour palette also means fewer items overall, as everything coordinates seamlessly.’
Another travel expert, Chantel Mila, who shares lifestyle tips on her social media account @mama_mila, revealed some ‘quick tricks’ for packing in a TikTok video.
She advised travellers to pack in a certain way to save space, and demonstrated by stacking her clothes in a suitcase.

‘Fit more clothes in your suitcase by packing it vertically,’ Chantel explained.
Sometimes travelling, especially long-haul journeys, can mean clothes stuck inside a case for a while can seem musty.
Chantel shared her tip for keeping them ‘smelling fresh’ and advised placing ‘essential oil on cotton balls’ inside luggage.
Another space-saving hack involves a specific way to arrange belts inside the suitcase.
