An airplane passenger has sparked outrage after revealing her hack for watching in-flight entertainment on a phone that involves using another person’s headrest.

Ida Augusta, a micro-influencer from Denmark, has more than 60,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares videos about her life and travels.

The content creator, who uses the handle @idaaugusta, went viral when she shared her trick for holding up her cellphone on the back of the seat in front of her.

The video begins with Ida smiling for the camera as she walks down the aisle toward her seat on her Norwegian Airlines flight.

Ida Augusta, a content creator from Denmark, went viral on TikTok after revealing her hack for watching in-flight entertainment on a phone

Before she sat down on her Norwegian Airlines flight, she flipped over the headrest covers on the seats in front of hers, so they were hanging down the back and facing her row

Ida and her travel partner then removed their cellphone cases, wedged the fabric between the cases and their devices, and snapped them back in place

Before she sits down, she flips over the headrest covers on the seats in front of hers, so they are hanging down the back and facing her row.

Ida and her travel partner then remove their cellphone cases, wedge the fabric between the cases and their devices, and snap them back in place.

The 10-second clip ends with them watching in-flight entertainment on their phones, which are hanging from the back of the seats in front of them.

‘Did you know?’ she asked in the caption.

Ida’s video has been viewed 2.5 million times and has received more than 190 comments since it was posted on November 5.

However, she may have been better off demonstrating a similar hack that involves using a sick bag or a napkin instead.

Many people slammed her for her ‘entitlement,’ saying she shouldn’t have grabbed the headrest covers without asking the people in front of her first.

‘The way they just flip it over towards them without asking,’ one person responded.

Ida’s video has been viewed 2.5 million times, but many people were unimpressed. Critics slammed her for not asking for permission first, saying she was ‘rude’ and ‘entitled’

‘It’s not yours to use unless you ask the person in front,’ someone else insisted.

‘And I’d be snatching it right back because you didn’t ask,’ another shared.

Some also argued the hack, which can only be used on planes with headrest covers, is also unhygienic.

‘This is wildly rude — those sheets are for hygiene reasons and you’re taking those away from the people in front of you,’ one viewer hit back.

It’s just rude! And rather unhygienic, wouldn’t want my phone [where somoene’s] hair, sweat, etc. has been,’ another chimed in.

Others didn’t understand what everyone in the comments was so upset about, saying it was ‘just a piece of fabric.’

One TikTok user suggested they invest in phone holders for airplanes, saying the one she bought on Amazon was just $12.

‘Best purchase ever,’ she wrote. ‘Y’all should get some.’
