‘People are so inconsiderate!’ Travel blogger left stunned after woman drapes her hair over the back of her seat during three-hour flight
A travel blogger has slammed an ‘inconsiderate’ passenger for draping her hair over the back of seat during a three-hour flight.
At the end of last year, Julie Christensen, 32, from Norway, was travelling from Athens to Amsterdam to visit family.
But shortly after taking her seat on the 8am flight, the blogger was left stunned when the woman in front of her flung her long brown hair over her chair.
The stranger’s long locks covered the almost the entire back of the seat and even reached the bottom of Julie’s table.
Outraged by the stranger’s actions, the blogger filmed a short video of herself trying to use her tray during the flight.
Julie boarded the flight from Athens to Amsterdam at the end of last year. She was stunned when the woman in front of her draped her long hair over the back of the seat
The video, which has amassed over six million views on TikTok, shows Julie trying to at the hair out of the way as she goes to pick up her drink.
She then wrote alongside the clip: ‘I wish this was staged.’
After leaving the plane, Julie captioned the post: ‘The joy of travelling.’
Urging other people not to copy the woman, Julie used the hashtags ‘#omgpleasedont’, ‘#lol’ and #traveletiquette’.
Speaking to local news outlet u105, Julie said her and the man sitting next to her found it amusing at first.
She explained: ‘I thought about whether I should say something but I was so tired, so I just laughed about it. Then so much time passed that it felt too late to say something.’
Luckily, Julie said she still had plenty of leg room and couldn’t help but admire the woman’s ‘gorgeous’ hair.
She added: ‘Keep your hair to yourself, that’s my general advice for travelling – especially when you’ve done such a nice job of brushing it!’
Julie told local news outlet u105 that she was too shy to ask the woman to move her hair as ‘too much time had passed’
Julie’s video amassed over six million views on TikTok. She wrote in the clip: ‘I wish this was staged.’
The video has amassed over 204,000 ‘likes’ and viewers were amazed that she didn’t say anything to the woman.
One replied: ‘Close your table and let her try and move.’ Another added: ‘Just start dunking the hair into the drink!’
‘Some people just have no consideration for others,’ a third wrote.
Meanwhile, a fifth said: ‘Why are y’all so afraid to tug on the hair??’
However, others said they would have taken a similar approach to Julie.
‘You shouldn’t have to tell her,’ a sixth said. ‘She should know better!
‘People just forget how to act the second they step foot into an airport,’ a seventh mused.
Sharing her own experience, another said: ‘This has happened to me! I asked her (teenager) not to, she kept doing it so I told her mum. Mum scoffed at me. So I asked the staff, she stopped.’
