BUDGET TRAVEL TIPS 📌
If you know me then you know that I’m alllll about traveling as much as possible and that means traveling for CHEAP so I can do it as often as possible! Here are a few of my favorite tips:
1) Rather than booking for a specific destination, consider identifying a list of 5-10 places you’d like to visit over the next few years. Then use tools like Google Flights or Skyscanner to search for entire continents to find the best deals. Pick the destination that is most affordable to get to — taking into account the costs of visiting that country as well of course.
2) If traveling, and specifically traveling for cheaper, is a priority for you then I recommend changing some of your daily habits. For example, use a travel credit card that not only offers a good points sign on bonus, but offers good travel points redemption. A credit card not possible for you? Sign up for @getseated instead. You get rewards in exchange for eating out. These rewards can be redeemed for things like a Delta airlines or Airbnb gift card.
3) If a particular destination is on your bucket list but flights during their most popular season are always super high, then consider traveling during the shoulder season. Flights can be as much as 75% cheaper during these months. You’ll also find cheaper accommodation, cheaper activities and less crowds.
