This is the magical moment a father made his young daughter’s trip to the Eiffel Tower one she will treasure for the rest of her life.
Joel Redhead helped eight-year-old Esmae ‘make the Eiffel Tower sparkle’ by bringing a light switch with him on her surprise birthday trip to Paris.
In an adorable video, Mr Redhead makes Esmae believe that she is the one who can turn on the flashing lights.
Esmae jumps to her feet and runs in a circle excitedly at the news, before the video flashes to her ‘turning the lights on’ later that evening.
The family create content for TikTok and Instagram under the name Redhead Residence, with Mr Redhead and Esmae appearing alongside his partner Carrie Sunderland and their three-year-old daughter Indie. They have a 250,000 TikTok followers.

In the video, Esmae appears first in front of the Eiffel Tower during the day, before Mr Redhead says ‘Guess what’ and takes a light switch out of his pocket.
‘This is the light switch which will make the Eiffel tower sparkle once it goes dark,’ he tells her.
‘And guess who’s turning the lights on? You.’
Esmae jumps up and screams, before excitedly running around in a circle.
The clip then jumps to another video of her being given the light switch.
‘Take care of that,’ Mr Redhead says. ‘Look at all the people that’s come to see it. No pressure!’
The video then cuts to night time, when the sun has gone down and the Eiffel tower is illuminated in the background.
Esmae is seen standing in front of the iconic monument before she flicks the switch and the Eiffel Tower begins to sparkle.
Mr Redhead then gasps and says: ‘Did you do it?’ at which point Esmae turns around and the video is slowed down to show her reaction.
Her jaw drops in shock and she does a double take.

‘I told you you’d do it,’ Mr Redhead tells her, before Esmae screams in excitement.
In a post on the family’s Instagram page for Esmae’s eighth birthday, Mr Redhead reveals a bit about their ‘blended family’ and how he came into her life when she was three years old.
He says: ‘All the relationships that work best are those that are formed naturally. From Esmae been 3 years old I’ve had the pleasure of raising her alongside Carrie.
‘Even 5 years on I thank my lucky stars that I’m able to call her my daughter and that sees me suitable to be named Daddy Joel.
‘I could speak for hours about her amazing attributes and how proud I am of her but it’s clear to see by everyone that she’s a complete diamond.’
