Britain’s best restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide 2023 were announced last night as part of a ceremony.

The guide is the ultimate culinary award for any restaurant wanting to prove they serve some of the best dishes not just in the country, but the world.

A Michelin Star is a sign of quality and a eateries can be awarded zero to three stars based on five areas: quality of ingredients, mastery of flavour and cooking techniques, the personality of the chef in the cuisine, value for money and consistency of food.

The quality of service and the restaurants decoration are not part of the equation when stars are awarded, but these are shown by the number of ‘covers’ a restaurant is given, shown by the fork and spoon symbol.

Last night, Michelin Stars were awarded at the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Great Britain & Ireland Guide 2023.
