‘Game-changing’ packing hack makes travelling with young children easier

Mother shares ‘game-changing’ packing hack which will make travelling with young children much easierThis ‘game-changing’ hack spells the end for messy suitcases and ruined clothes

A mother has shared a ‘game-changing’ packing hack to make travelling with young children much easier.

Sharing her wisdom on TikTok, Stephanie Joplin showed parents how to plan outfits for two young children on a trip away, using just a shoe organiser with slots.

In a move to do away with messy suitcases, the mother-of-two showed how the organiser can be used to neatly stow away a child’s outfit for each day of the holiday without clothes getting ruined.

On her channel Betterwithchardonnay, she rolled her toddler’s t-shirt, shorts and underwear into each slot.

Explaining the useful timesaver, she said: ‘I tried the viral packing hack for your kids, and let me tell you, it’s going to be a game-changer.’

The ‘game-changer’ uses an inexpensive door-hanging shoe organiser to pack clothes

Ms Joplin revealed that the secret to easy packing for children was to use ‘one of those inexpensive, over the door shoe organisers’.

Any leftover space in the organiser could be used for ‘excess clothing or other items that you need’, she told her followers.

Once fully loaded, the package can be rolled up and placed inside the suitcase, leaving one side empty for other items.

It can then be hung up on a door throughout the holiay for ease of access.

The TikTok hack has clocked up 423,000 likes and 64,500 shares.

Ms Joplin said she was using the hack to pack for her two young children ahead of a six-day holiday.

Her simple trick to make packing easier was welcomed by viewers who hailed the ‘genius’ idea.

One said: ‘I have a total of 0 kids but I’m saving this for future reference.’

Another asked: ‘Wait this is genius. Which organiser did you buy because I want to get the same one.

Another wrote: ‘Finally something that makes sense.’

Some remarked that they already used the hack at home as well as on holiday.

One said: ‘This is how I do my kids clothes every day. It hangs on their doors and they pick out which outfit to wear. No messy dressers.’

Another said: ‘This is how I pack for cruises. I’m an overplanner who has specific outfits for specific days…and this way my husband can’t f*** up the day/outfit.’

However, some  were less convinced that the organiser could carry everything they would need on a holiday and whether it would even fit into a suitcase,

One said: ‘The plastic seems so bulky. Doesn’t it take up so much room?’

Another questioned: ‘And the shoes?’
