An Australian travel blogger has revealed how he managed to fly to Europe for just $300.
Luke Callaghan, 24, from the Gold Coast, braved travelling without food or a bag to fly the 15,741km to Berlin for a spot of European sunshine.
Sharing a video to his Tiktok page, the graduate revealed how he flew from the Gold Coat to Singapore and then Singapore to Berlin, for a fraction of the normal price.
‘No bag, no food, no worries!! Onboard Scoots 787 Dreamliner from Australia to Europe,’ he wrote.
The budget airline doesn’t provide on board entertainment, so Luke revealed that he downloaded films onto his phone for the 24 hour journey.
He also said he was able to take snacks on board as Scoot charge extra for a meal.
Unlike most long haul airlines, Scoot – which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary – don’t provide free baggage or dining options.

A 20kg check-in bag cost around $78 to check in – although prices vary from flight to flight.
To get a bag and meals, drink and a snack is around $96.
There’s also an option for Scoot Plus – which gives customers a wider, leather seat with twice as much leg rom.

Scoot Plus customers are also given 30kg of luggage, two pieces of cabin luggage up to 15kg and meals which they can preorder online.
They’re also given 30MB of WiFi and an in seat power outlet.
While Luke, who has gone on to enjoy a summer adventure across Europe, flew from Gold Coast, Scoot operates out of many Australian airports, including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

Very Hungry Nomads, who are based in Melbourne, revealed the seats were ‘just like any other carrier’.
‘They reclined, included a tray table for working, and were equipped with small reading lights when the cabin was dark,’ they wrote.
