An urban explorer has made bone-chilling finds inside an abandoned morgue that still retained the eeriness of the dead who were processed here.

Pictures taken by urban explorer Macorlee Farnaby, 26, from Suffolk, show an untouched decaying morgue with items including a table, hanging apron, gloves, body salt, an old tin of air freshener, oxide plaster tape, bucket and blood washbasin among other morbid equipment.

Mr Farnaby, a support worker, used his skills and passion to uncover this untouched abandoned building just outside Hull, east Yorkshire.

He walked through overgrown fields and hedged areas to reach this place whose door refused to budge even on multiple attempts but finally found an open gap where a window had been taken out.

Mr Farnaby said that upon entering the morgue he was ‘hit by the smell of death’.

‘It felt like we were not there alone but were being watched by someone. The apron was still hung, the gloves and cleaning brush almost ready to be used. It felt like being in a horror movie,’ he said.

Upon entering, he said: ‘There was a feeling of someone else being present in that place. It could have been a speck of dust or someone from beyond the grave. But there was still some beauty to the place, an old and rustic vibe.’

The morgue, just outside Hull, appears to have been abandoned and untouched, however Mr Faany said ‘it felt like we were not there alone but were being watched by someone’. He continued: ‘There was bird poop everywhere. The apron was still hung, the gloves and cleaning brush almost ready to be used. It felt like being in a horror movie.’
