Our adventure begins at the Montauk Point Lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the United States, commissioned by none other than President George Washington in 1792. The lighthouse boasts stunning 360-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean and features a fascinating museum underneath. Next, we explore the natural wonders of Montauk Point State Park and Camp Hero State Park. These parks offer easy trails that lead to either the ocean or a lake, and during our visit, we had these beautiful spots all to ourselves since we avoided the summer crowds. Finally, we top off our day with a late lunch at Duryea’s Lobster Deck & Seafood Market. The restaurant’s waterfront location provides breathtaking views while you savor delicious seafood dishes.
