NOT happy campers! Aspiring outdoorspeople share their vacation fails

Happy campers isn’t the phrase that springs to mind when viewing these vacation videos.

Dozens of aspiring outdoorspeople have posted outtakes from their trips in the wild, showing what happens when things don’t go to plan.

TikToker Hannah Lane made one video of her attempt to use a pee device while camping. But the clip shows that her efforts to use it were unsuccessful and she ended up with pee on her shorts.

She also said she kept getting mosquito bites on her butt cheeks as she ventured into a forested area for privacy.

Brickell Jensen reveals in a TikTok that her camping fail occurred when her chair folded up on her while she was sat around the camp fire. In the clip, she can be seen chuckling as her friends try to help her up from the floor and prize the chair back open.

Many women in the comment section sympathized with Hannah and said they had the same issue when they tried to use a pee device for the first time.

Putting up tents appears to cause problems for some.

TikToker @sarsouraa18 videoed her friend attempting to put up a tent from the 90s, which lacked some of the essential parts along with the instructions.

As a result, her video shows the tent looked in a rather sorry state, with the main compartment drooping as it hangs from exposed poles.

Sara explains in the caption that after more than two hours trying to erect the tent, she ended up buying a new one – with all the essential parts included – from the nearest Walmart.

While one man found his pop up tent easy to put up, putting it away proved near impossible.

In a TikTok shared by @RevolutionRace he can be seen struggling to get the structure back in its bag.

After several attempts he doesn’t appear to be any closer to solving the puzzle.

For many campers, bad weather appears to have dampened spirits.

April said it rained for three days while she was camping in an RV and the entire site was flooded. In her TikTok, a fellow camper can be seen wearing plastic bags around their feet

TikTok comedian Jane Dowden also failed to see the funny side when she went camping, with her expectations a world away from the rain-drenched reality

April said it rained for three days while she was camping in an RV and the entire site was flooded.

In her TikTok, a fellow camper can be seen wearing plastic bags around their feet as they attempt to navigate the shallow waters flooding the outdoor kitchen and dining area.

April explains in an overlaid caption that the hardest part of the soggy trip was trying to keep her three dogs dry.

TikTok comedian Jane Dowden also failed to see the funny side when she went camping.

In her clip she shows her ‘camping expectations,’ full of wholesome sun-drenched scenes.

However, her ‘reality’ was a world away from her hopes.

As she stands in a water-logged field next to her tent with a bucket in her hand, she looks thoroughly unimpressed as the rain continues to pour.

Similarly, Reyna Flores from Texas said she decided to go camping with a group of friends because the weather looked nice.

However, her TikTok shows that things took a turn, and their tents were ‘destroyed’ by 30mph winds.

She simply captioned her blustery footage: ‘April weather is no joke.’

As a warning to others, Marcilo Moralez wrote in his overlaid caption: ‘Don’t bring memory foam pillows when winter camping.’

He then demonstrates, while laughing, how his pillow froze solid by whacking it on a hard surface. Many commenters said the frozen pillow would be great for a pillow fight.

The fishing accessories company captioned the video: ‘Some days are just harder than others.’
