One man’s trash? Unimpressed shoppers share the wildest items they’ve spotted in charity shops
Charity shops can be full of hidden treasures – be it charming home decor or a vintage dress that’s perfect for your wardrobe.
But for every gem, there is also a uniquely bizarre item which anyone would be hard-pressed to believe would sell.
BoredPanda has collated a selection of thrift store finds that encapsulate the whacky and weird knick-knacks we give away.
One shopper from Glasgow came across an experimental, mixed-media portrait of the late Princess Diana.
Along with some blonde doll hair, the artist had also incorporated some real pearl earrings into their haunting portrait.

Elsewhere, a man from Pennsylvania captured strange artwork made from severed Barbie and Ken heads.
The doll couple appear to be cradling a baby Barbie while most of their body is submerged in gold glittery liquid.
What’s more, charity shop fan found a ‘gum saver’ on their travels.
The ceramic piece featured a hand-print on the top, which allows users to place their chewed up gum in the palm in case they need to come back to it later.
And other eclectic submissions included a record of ‘Pizza Hut Hits’, which featured a baffling illustration of a gramophone playing a pepperoni pizza.
In keeping with this theme, a second shopper was also delighted to find a 99c CD from an unknown woman called Audrey’s 70th birthday celebrations.
Meanwhile, another shopper couldn’t resist posting a photo of the hauntingly cinematic portrait of some cats they found while browsing a local store.
