If you’re traveling to Dublin, make sure you see the River Liffey!
This river runs all through the city of Dublin and it’s a beautiful place to stop for a picnic, explore the shops, pubs and restaurants all along it, or just pose for some pictures!
Google notes that “the River Liffey is a river in eastern Ireland that ultimately flows through the centre of Dublin to its mouth within Dublin Bay. Its major tributaries include the River Dodder, the River Poddle and the River Camac. The river supplies much of Dublin’s water and supports a range of recreational activities.”
As Wikipedia mentions: “The River Liffey in Dublin city was used for many centuries for trade. The Vikings already used the river, and it was used until recent times. It is connected to the River Shannon via the Grand Canal and the Royal Canal. This connects Dublin to the west of Ireland by water.”
It’s a must see part of Dublin so be sure to add it to your travel bucket list!
