In this video series of Penang Island (Pulau Pinang), we are visiting Penang top tourist attractions. This is Penang complete travel guide in 2020. There are many Penang travel videos, travel vlogs but this one takes you an extra deep dive into this rare pearl of Malaysia.

Penang, a world renowned exotic holiday destination was known, once upon a time, as Pulau Pinang. Listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 2008, this virgin paradise has no shortage of cultural sights and natural scenery.

Nicknamed the Pearl of the Orient, Penang is famous for its soft sandy beaches and is fondly regarded as the food capital of Malaysia.

Previously a British port along the Strait of Malacca, Penang is now a blooming city on the cusp of history and modernity. Most importantly, it’s also earned a reputation for being the food capital of Malaysia!

For the first video of this series, we take you through the journey from KLIA2 to Penang International Airport, which took us 40 minutes and then we visited the following Penang attractions:

1. Hameediyah Restaurant: Malaysia’s oldest Nasi Kandar restaurant, established in 1907

2. Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa: The hotel where we stayed, situated in Batu Ferringhi

3. Batu Ferringhi Beach

4. Blue Mansion (Cheong Fatt Tze): The transcendental quality and timelessness of the mansion has been perfectly poised for over a century on firm foundations of architectural, cultural and historical superlatives. Here, time comes to a halt as you meander along the mansion and revel in the harmonious medley of history and culture. The Blue Mansion was opened in 1904 and then renovated in 1995.

5. Roman Catholic Diocese Museum: Established in 1787

The first settlements were established in 1882
