The ‘awe inspiring and internationally recognised’ landmark was formed thousands of years ago and the cliff stands at 170ft (51m) tall with an overhang of 40ft (12m).
It forms one of the ‘Big Three limestone crags’ in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, alongside Gordale Scar and Malham Cove.
It is also known by rock climbers all over the world as one of the most iconic and challenging climbs to be conquered.

The 18.76 acre land has been managed by a government programme called an Agri-environment scheme over the last 20 years.
The scheme aims to help and support farmers manage their land in an environmentally friendly way.
