The world’s top 100 hotel suites revealed, from Las Vegas to The Lanesborough in London 

Here’s a tantalising glimpse through the keyholes of the hotel rooms the world’s wealthiest people occupy.

Private jet lifestyle magazine Elite Traveler has drawn up a list of the 100 best hotel suites in the world, which includes the 10 biggest – and the 10 most expensive.

The grand, jaw-dropping tour of opulence takes in every region, from the USA to Asia via swanky offerings throughout the UK and Europe.

Behold the snap of the 32,000-square-foot Mulia Mansion in Bali, gawp at the $200,000-a-stay Palms Casino Empathy Suite in Las Vegas and sigh with longing at the London Lanesborough’s lavish Royal Suite.

Your eyes will no doubt also linger on the paradise that is the Velaa Private Residence in The Maldives.

Top three biggest suites 

The Mulia Mansion, pictured, at Mulia Villas in Bali tops the list as the biggest suite at 32,520 square feet. The two-storey property has six bedrooms, a private pool and a 24-hour butler service. Stays start from $19,800 (£15,000) per night

The 28,000-square-foot Ty Warner Mansion at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort, in Mexico is described as a ‘sprawling beachfront residence’, where a one-night stay starts from $35,000 (£30,000). It has a 328ft infinity pool that ‘wraps around the entirety of the property’

The three-bedroom villa at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, in Bali, is 21,530 square feet. It is situated in the Balinese rainforest and a one-night stay costs $4,400 (£3,400) 

Top three most expensive suites  

Inside the two-bedroom Empathy Suite at the Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas, where a minimum two-night stay costs $200,000 (£154,000). It is the most expensive suite on the list with Elite Traveler describing it as ‘an adult’s playground’

Stays at the Royal Penthouse Suite in Hotel President Wilson in Geneva, Switzerland, are $81,000 (£62,000) per night. It spans 18,000 square feet and boasts 12 bedrooms

The Mark Penthouse at The Mark in New York, pictured, is described as ‘whimsical in design but rooted in French elegance’. Stays cost $75,000 (£58,000) per night 

Top suites in the USA

Suite 5000, pictured, is a three-bedroom suite located on the 50th floor of the Mandarin Oriental, New York. It has ‘sleek decor’ and ‘exceptional views’ of the city. Stays start from $35,000 (£27,000) per night 

The three-bedroom duplex at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas has a ‘homey feel’ with three bedrooms, a billiards room, a massage room and a fitness room. A one-night stay starts from $4,000 (£3,000) 

The Presidential Suite at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles is described as having a ‘classic-yet-modern California-style design’. It boasts a ‘private Spanish-inspired courtyard enclosed by towering trees and plants’. Stays are $15,000 (£11,500) per night

Top suites in the UK

Elite Traveler describes the Royal Suite at The Lanesborough in London, pictured, as ‘unashamedly regal’. It has seven bedrooms and bathrooms and views over Buckingham Palace Gardens. One night in the suite starts from £11,800 ($15,400) 

The Royal Suite at The Savoy in London is the grandest of all of the suites in the hotel, says Elite Traveler. The master bedroom has a four-poster bed and a Savoir mattress. Stays start from £14,600 ($19,000) per night

Inside the Manor House Suite at Rosewood London, which is the only hotel suite in the world to have its own postcode. The £11,800-a-night suite ($15,400) is described as ‘far more like a chic city apartment than a hotel suite’ 

Top hotels in Europe  

The Prince Rainier III Suite at Hôtel de Paris, Monaco, has sculptures made by the late prince as well as paintings from his personal collection. It also boasts a heated infinity pool with ‘wonderful views of the famed Place du Casino’. A one-night stay starts from $50,000 (£38,500)

The Presidential Suite at Hotel Principe di Savoia, Milan, is described as ‘nothing short of opulent’. It has a ‘private Pompeii-style spa’ complete with a hot tub, sauna and Turkish bath. One night in the suite starts from $20,000 (£15,400)

Stays at the Belle Etoile Suite at Le Meurice, Paris, start from $27,300 (£21,000). The suite is a four-bedroom duplex with a sprawling roof terrace that is described as ‘surely the most incredible in Paris’  

Top suites in Asia Pacific 

According to Elite Traveler, the Shambhu Prakash Presidential Suite at Taj Lake Palace, India, ‘blends opulent Indian and European decor, offering a bit of Versailles in Udaipur’. One night in the suite starts from $15,500 (£12,000) 

Rahimoana, a suite at Eagles Nest in New Zealand, is described as ‘more like a private home than a suite’. Standout features include a helipad, four en-suite bedrooms and an 82ft infinity pool. A one night stay starts from $13,000 (£10,000) 

Velaa Private Residence on Velaa Private Island in the Maldives costs $17,600 (£13,500) per night. Set on a private beach, it has four ocean-facing bedrooms, a 60ft infinity pool and a three-storey wine cellar that holds $3million (£2.3million) worth of rare and exceptional bottles 

Top suites in Central America 

Villa One at One&Only Palmilla, Mexico, has four bedrooms, a movie theatre, a fire pit and a 24-hour butler service. A one night stay starts from $9,000 (£6,900). Elite Traveler describes the suite as a ‘unique Mexican hideaway’

The Villa is an ‘elegant’ five-bedroom private residence with its own gardens at Sandy Lane in Holetown, Barbados. It is described as having ‘grand, Palladian-style architecture’. Stays at the villa are from $10,000 (£7,700) per night

The Seven South suite at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, pictured, is the largest suite configuration in the Caribbean with 11 bedrooms. It is described as featuring ‘elegant furnishings and a neutral colour palette’. Stays start from $25,000 (£19,200) per night 

Top suites in the Middle East and Africa 

The 5,382-square-foot Bulgari Villa at The Bulgari Hotel, Dubai, has three bedrooms, a home cinema and a hammam. Outside there are pristine gardens, a terrace and an oval pool with views of the sea. A one night stay starts from $3,300 (£2,500)

Nelson Mandela Villa at Shambala Private Game Reserve, South Africa, pictured, is where the former political leader spent time writing his memoirs. It has five bedrooms, two studies and two lounges. Prices start from $5,700 (£4,400) per night

Villa North Island, pictured, is located on the 5,000-acre private island of North Island in Seychelles. The one-bedroom suite ‘spills onto East Beach, where you’re unlikely to see another soul, except for the endemic wildlife’. Stays start from $11,200 (£8,600) per night
