Saint-Tropez’s celebrity lustre began in the 1950s when actress Brigitte Bardot filmed scenes for the movie And God Created Women there. It put the former fishing village on the map. Her parents had a house there in and 1958, she bought an estate with an adjoining farm in Saint-Tropez.

Since then, it has attracted the rich and famous with its high-end boutique shops and superyacht-filled harbour.

Les Parcs de Saint-Tropez was founded in 1951 by builder Robert Geffroy, who discovered the area after his yacht broke down there.

Over the years it has turned into an ultra-exclusive neighbourhood, with a private beach and a gatehouse manned by guards.
