A travel expert is highlighting the destinations that will pay travelers — in the form of major discounts and vouchers — to visit after the pandemic.
Kristina Cors has shared a four-episode series on TikTok listing places that are willing to shell out cash to jumpstart tourism once it becomes safe to travel again — and her videos have racked in views millions.
In the clips, Kristina lays out how Sicily, Italy; Las Vegas, Nevada; Cancun, Mexico; and Japan are offering major perks for jetsetters.

One by one, Kristina has dedicated videos to places she says ‘will basically pay you to visit once the pandemic is over.’
The first, Sicily, Italy, will launch its €50 million tourism scheme once the country opens its borders.
The Mediterannean island will offer vouchers for discounted flights, which can cover over half of flight costs.
Those who go to the VisitSicily website can also access free museum tickets and hotel vouchers that cover one additional free night for every three nights booked.
The local government plans to give away 400,000 vouchers in all.

Cancun, Mexico will launch similar incentives once travel opens up.
The HotelAssociations of Cancun, Puerto Morelos & Isla Mujeres, the Riviera Maya, Cozumel, and the Grand Costa Maya have teamed up on the #VenAlCaribeMexicanoX2 or #Come2MexicanCaribbean campaign, which so far includes over 200 businesses.
Visitors can take advantage of two free nights of accommodation for every two nights paid, free stays for up to two children when two adults book, and two free days of car rentals for every two days paid.
They are also offering a 20 per cent discount at some theme parks, golf courses, and spas.
‘Different hotel associations in our state, along with the tourist industry in general, are 100% committed participating in this campaign, and aim to reactivate travel to our destinations after the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,’ Roberto Cintron, President of the Hotels Association of Cancun, Puerto Morelos & Isla Mujeres, said in a statement, according to Insider.
Cancun is already starting to cautiously reopen, with some hotels doing business at reduced capacity.

Las Vegas, Nevada has already begun re-opening and casinos have quickly filled back up — despite warnings from health experts.
While those who’ve visited may have just been antsy to take a trip, there have been some incentives to encourage people to stop by.
Derek Stevens, who owns the D Las Vegas and the Golden Gate, gave away 1,000 free flights to encourage tourism.
‘As we begin to reopen our doors across the city, we are proud to help reinvigorate travel to Las Vegas while supporting airlines in America impacted by the COVID-19 crisis,’ he said in an announcement.
‘We can’t wait to safely bring visitors to the city and remind them why we’ve earned the title of “Entertainment Capital of the World.” And while we’d love for visitors to stop by Downtown Las Vegas, we primarily want to get people back to Las Vegas to experience the attractions and amenities that make it one of the greatest places on Earth.’

The $12.5 billion plan includes subsidies of up to ¥20,000 ($186) per day. In addition, people can also buy prepaid vouchers that will mark down meals by up to 20 per cent.
Some entertainment events are also offering discounts.
For now, these perks aren’t available to travelers from outside Japan, but once international travel restrictions loosen, the country may decide to expand its offerings.
