These are three essential steps I take before every flight
1. Photograph Your Suitcase Before Check-In: Before handing over your bag at the check-in counter, take a quick picture of it. This can be invaluable if your luggage is delayed, damaged, or lost. Airlines are responsible for up to $3,800 in compensation, and having a photo of your bag at check-in can serve as proof in case you need to file a claim.
2. Share Your Flight Number with Your Pickup Contact: To make things easier for the person picking you up, send them your flight number via iMessage. By simply holding down the flight number, they can check the flight status, ensuring they’re on time to meet you.
3. Track Your Luggage with AirTags: Recently, I’ve started placing an AirTag in each of my bags. This small step allows me to monitor the location of my luggage as soon as I land, ensuring I know if a bag is lost or delayed, so I can quickly take action.
