Instragram Travel Planning Tips | How I use Instagram to Plan my VACATION!
My favorite way to search new destinations and to get a feel for what the community is like, it to search it on Instagram FIRST! This is the FIRST thing I do when travel planning. Always!
You would be so surprised about what you can learn from the culture and the people, just by browsing top accounts and hashtags.
Why?
Because the locals are the ones that are posting most of the interesting stuff, and the locals are the ones that know everything about it! I prefer to do what the locals do when traveling anywhere anyway, therefore I like to dig deep in their community for advice and hot places to visit!
Also, Instagram is a MUST for restaurant recommendations. Hot tip: screen shot 3 of the top plates or dishes posted on the restaurant you want to visit’s page, and show them when you get there…just say “I want this” and see what happens. Makes for great convo!
Start by picking a place, typing it in, and seeing what pops up- follow the hashtags and take note! .
