About Turtuk: Turtuk is a village in the Indian union territory of Ladakh and the headquarters of an eponymous community development block. It is a small village sandwiched between Karakorum Range and Himalayas Mountains.
Turtuk was under Pakistani control until the war of 1971, when the Indian Army liberated the village. It s the last outpost of India’s Ladakh. It is also one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier.

About Thang Zero Point: Thang is the last village on indian side ahead of turtuk and it recently got open for tourist. You can clearly see the Pakistan occupied kashmir border view point from here.
How to Reach Turtuk
Turtuk is reachable by road and the nearest Airport in Leh, Ladakh, at a distance of 205 KM from Turtuk. From Leh, by road, it takes approximately 8 hours to reach Turtuk.
