Weekend Destination Jalpath, South 24 Pgs. is emerging as a new travel hotspot. I had the opportunity to visit this place on March 14th 2021. I was accompanied with my family and my brothers family. We were seven in total. Jalpath is a new and off- beat weekend tour spot near Kolkata. It is an eco-resort that consists of four different bunglows of different patterns surrounded by lush green vegetation.. This video will show our experience of Jalpath Tour in this resort and will give detailed guide for this tour. The resort It is located in Bamunghata, Bantala, just a few yards off Basanti highway in the district of South 24 Pgs. This is a nice off-beat place near Kolkata for spending holidays with family and friends. One can experience hands-on idea of handloom operation and running a potter’s wheel. A unique concept has been used to build this resort. One will also get to see weaving studio, dyeing unit, printing studio, dokra studio and pottery studio. Jalpath is going to be an excellent one-day tour spot near Kolkata in West Bengal for spending a quality weekend. Jalpath is one of the wonderful places to visit in West Bengal. We drove there with my car. It took barely one hour to reach the place. The AC room we booked was a nice and cosy.We took rest in the room and walked around the resort premises to explore its novelty. Due to corona outbreak, only three or four studios were open.
How to reach Jalpath:
It is best to drive in one’s own car to Jalpath. After crossing EM bypass, just before Abhishikta, one has to take the right bifurcation to Chowbaga along Anandapur High Road. From there, take the right turn on Basanti highway, and drive 5/6 km towards Jalpath.
From Ruby General hospital reach chowbaga by Anadapur main road and hit Basanti highway and then, the same way as said above. From Topsia also, you can take the basanti highway towards Jalpath.
From Sonarpur, you can reach Jalpath after crossing Kheyada and Gangajoara, just before Basanti highway.
The environment is homely. The staff are cordial and ready with their service. The rooms are neat and tidy. The food is excellent. We booked one ac room on day out basis @ Rs 1200/- per head for seven members including food and lodging. Food package include breakfast, lunch and evening tea.
The room was booked by paying Rs 3000/- in advance.
Breakfast menu was Puri, Aloo sabji, boiled eggs, rasogolla and tea. Lunch menu includes Rice, daal, aloo bhaji, mixed vegetable, fish kalia, chicken curry, chutney.
DAY-OUT PACKAGE DETAILS:
For 02 members—Rs. 3900/- with regular lunch menu of fish and chicken.
Rs. 4200/- for mutton instead of chicken.
For 03 members—- Rs. 4350/- for regular lunch with fish and chicken.
Rs. 4800/- for mutton replacing chicken.
For 04 to 07 members—-Rs. 1200/- per head with regular lunch of fish and chicken and Rs. 1350/- per head for mutton replacing chicken.
In these cases Room 2 will be provided as shown in the video.
One can also book the entire property for picnic or day out visit at Rs. 12200/-. For chicken fish meal, Rs. 450/- per head and for mutton and fish meal Rs. 600/- per head will be charged.

Room no. 2: Rs 4000/- AC double bed
Room no. 3: Rs 5200/- AC suite.
