Arizona Stadium features a spot that ‘blocks 90 percent of the field’ and has no video board view

Is this the WORST seat in the USA? Arizona Stadium features a spot that ‘blocks 90 percent of the field’ and has no video board view as fans warn others to ‘avoid the seat at all costs’

At yesterday’s Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, one fan discovered what could be the worst seat in all of college football.

User @CFBcampustour put out a message to their followers about one specific seat within Arizona Stadium in Tucson.

Section 16, Row 41, seat 2 was highlighted as one to ‘avoid… at all costs!’ for any game played at this site. The account owner called it ‘Easily one of the WORST seat locations at any college football stadium in the country.’

This seat located at Section 16, Row 41, Seat 2 could be one of the worst in college football

The sightlines only allow the occupant to see a corner of the end zone – and nothing else

The account claimed the seat had 10 percent visibility of the field with photos showing only a sliver of the endzone could be seen.

The user also pointed out that the spot and no view of the video board at all.

Originally constructed in 1929 on the campus of the University of Arizona, the stadium has been home to the school’s football team ever since.

The initial capacity of the site was 7,000 people, but was expanded and renovated in bits and pieces in the years to come.

This is all thanks to a giant concrete wall at this stadium – which was first built back in 1929

The last expansion to the seating capacity came in 1988 – when luxury boxes were built along with a new press box.

Arizona Stadium’s current capacity is listed as 50,800 as of 2019 – with a former peak capacity of 57,800 back in the mid-1990s.

A rivalry game against Arizona State University set their record attendance of 59,920 back on November 23, 1996.

Earlier this year, the same Twitter account found a similarly bad view at Waldo Stadium – the home of Western Michigan University. These seats look like they’re tucked into a corner and were referred to as a ‘hockey penalty box.’

🚨 Obstructed View Alert 🚨

This could very well be THE WORST seat at any FBS stadium that I’ve ever seen. Visibility of the field is MAYBE 15%. By far my favorite obstructed view seat of the season! pic.twitter.com/z42ALKcz1V

Other poor examples include one the account found at Ohio Stadium – home of Ohio State University. While down in the southeast, the University of Tennessee has similar issues.

This year’s version of the Arizona Bowl pitted Ohio University against the University of Wyoming. Ohio was victorious, winning 30-27.

Earlier, I found the worst seat in TBA. You could see about half the court.

I did the same thing today in Neyland. It’s a great seat… if you hate watching football.
