* SONY ZV1 POINT AND SHOOT
Our “A” cam. Fits in our pocket but shoots in full 4K with great low light results. I’ll choose this over a smartphone every time!
* SONY AX53 CAMCORDER
I love this camcorder! It has amazing stabilization and great 4K, but the main reason I keep this in my bag is for the 20x optical zoom. This way we can get some tight closeups without invading anyone’s privacy or losing quality.
* GOPRO HERO 9 BLACK
It’s waterproof and shock proof. I mean.. come on 🙂
* DJI MINI 2 DRONE
We used to use the Mavic Air, but this Mini 2 is just so much better for our needs. The 4K camera quality is just as good, the flight distance and flight time is WAY BETTER, it’s much smaller and easier to travel with, and the battery can charge up on USB so we can leave that big black charging brick at home!

This microphone is a beast! I love it so much more than the Rode VideoMic Pro! You can switch back and forth between shotgun and stereo, which is perfect for capturing all the background sounds for our travel videos.
* RODE WIRELESS GO
I use this for every scene of me talking to the camera. It plugs straight into my ZV1 and provides a clean signal. The quality is amazing, and we’ve never had any issues!
* RODE SMARTLAV+
I use the Rode SmartLav+ for any scenes where they may be a lot of interference or if I’ll be a long distance from the camera. In this case, I’ll plug it straight into my iPhone and record into the Voice Record Pro app. I also use the SmartLav+ to record all my voice overs at home.
